Bracero: the new trend for barbecues in the garden

What is a bracero?

A bracero is neither a new invention nor a complicated accessory. It is a metal tank in which a fire is built.

Add a grill or plancha to it to create a trendy new barbecue in the garden or on the terrace.

With this trendy accessory, you can cook food over a fire and warm up in the evening outdoors. Bracero is a desirable source of warmth if you want to prolong the night party despite the cold temperatures.

How it works.

If you want to follow this new barbecue bracero trend, know that this garden accessory is easy to use.

As with a traditional barbecue, the hardest step is starting the fire. It is recommended to use dry wood, preferably beech or hornbeam wood, in a bracero.

To easily and safely start a fire, follow the steps below:

  • place dry kindling in the bottom of the bracero;
  • light the kindling with a match;
  • light the fire by stacking the logs in a staggered pattern.

What are the advantages?

The fascination with braceros is primarily due to the convenience of using these devices. Summer kebabs will be much more festive, warmer and practical, as everyone sits around the device.

With this garden accessory, cooking meat will no longer be a chore entrusted to one participant who is inevitably far away from the table and other guests.

The bracero is at the center of the guests and allows for a moment of sharing and fun in a campfire atmosphere. If you choose a model with a diameter of 80 cm, you can gather up to 8 people around the campfire.

This accessory is used both for cooking kebabs and for warming dishes in the evenings, from spring to fall.

Which model to choose?

Bracero is available in several models, with variable heights, more or less numerous options and different aesthetics.

The main selection criteria are the size of the appliance, its style, the fuel used, and the price and safety of the user.

Families with children will, of course, prefer models with protection so that the little ones do not get burned.

Those who enjoy wood-fired and outdoor cooking will opt for more sophisticated models with options such as a grill for roasting chicken or an adaptable pizza oven.

Keep in mind, however, that prices vary depending on the complexity of the roaster.
